Elinor and David are two of the loveliest people you could meet. From the moment we met them to talk about their plans and how we could capture their day, we knew instantly we were a perfect fit. Their day was all about being chilled, fun and with all their best people at The Great House Laleston. A first for us to shoot a wedding there, and we love to add a new venue to our portfolio. The day was all about no stress, no dramas (apart from David forgetting his speech at home), and no driving about from venue to venue so they could spend their time taking it all in and actually getting to spend time with their guests.
The Great House Laleston wedding venue in Bridgend is the perfect setting for those who want privacy for their special day, without needing to book out a huge venue for exclusivity, with a cozy ceremony and reception room, amazing food, and a big garden area to spread out and enjoy some live music from no other than the talented Laura Benjamin.
There’s a running joke between us that every time we drive through Bridgend, its raining, but sunny either side of it. Thank goodness this day was a belter with right amount of sunshine all day long so everyone could continue the celebrations outside.
To fit in with their relaxed wedding photography vibes, instead of bundling into a car to get some portraits at Merthyr Mawr like we had originally planned , we found the perfect spot literally across the road from The Great House. Catching the last of that beautiful golden hour light, with a dress swoosh, some cwtches and oodles of laughs, we only stole them away for 5 mins before they got stuck in to the dance floor throwing some shapes and partying the night away.
