Natalie & Tom’s wedding at The Glyn Clydach Hotel

Heres a little blog post featuring a venue that is very close to our hearts, The Glyn Clydach Hotel. Why? Well back in 2015, we celebrated our own wedding there. Now that makes us sound suuuuper old, but we were the ripe old age of 22. Anyway, enough about us, this lush day was all bout Natalie and Tom and their beautiful autumn coloured wedding day. As you can probably tell from the website, one of our fave colours is orange so we bloody love the colour orange.

The day started off with all the pampering, hair, makeup and fizz with the girlies upstairs in the bridal suite with lots of excitement and a no nerves in sight. The boys rocked up in their tux’s looking dapper and ready to get their pose on before a little tipple at the bar to get rid of those pre wed butterflies.

Now since our own wedding day there, The Glyn Clydach Hotel has had a massive glam up. Gone are the carpets ( they went ages ago ), and gone is the old fashioned white swag materials. Now we have this lovely, airy and light open space with high ceilings with wood beams, hard flooring and the perfect canvas to put your own style and colour on.

We absolutely love that ceremonies can be held up the other side now infront of those big windows for loads of natural light. You might not notice it as you nervously walk down the aisle but your photographer will thank you for it later.

The guest were in for a surprise after the cermony, yes, you spotted it, an alpaca petting zoo! Totally random in some peoples eyes but if you love to snuggle a dog, you’ll love to pet an alpaca. They’re so darn fluffy! Have you ever poked your finger into an alpaca’s fur? They are so insulated with all that fur that they are toasty toasty warm underneath, its crazy.

Onto some lush portraits of Tom and Natalie after some alpaca petting and feeding. The grounds of the Glyn Clydach Hotel offer some lovely spots and angles for portraits. The gardeners hard work did not go un-noticed, check out those autumn colour theme matching flowers! As we had plenty of good weather we couldn’t miss out on a stroll through the long grass field at the bottom of the grounds. You’d hardly believe you were in Neath with a view over the hills, long grass and tall trees, the perfect spot to switch it up a bit and not tear you away from the party for too long. What you see is a couple madly in love and big smiles, but what you don’t see is Natalie, Jon and Tom taking the p!ss out of Chantele for looking like some sort of national geographic stalker down low in the long grass for some creative angles. Sorry Chantele! You have to make it fun though and laugh through it, no wooden posing or games of twister, just go with the flow and enjoy the moment.

The rest of the day went by in a blink, so much happiness, laughter and dancing, it really was a blast to be a part of. Go have a nosey at some of their pics, and if you are planning your own Glyn Clydach Hotel wedding, or any other venue for that matter, we would love to hear from you.
