During the summer months we find ourselves down at Southerndown beach quite a bit. Its still a bit of a well kept secret and never seems to get too busy. Theres some great surf, a secret walled garden and a little bit of forest too to explore. When Meagan and Ryan started to tell us about their plans, we immediately got excited. We’ve photographed one wedding at The Barn at West Farm already which you can check out here – Jon & Louise so to have the opportunity to head down to Dunraven gardens with another bride and groom was just, YES!
You’ll notice the first image isn’t of either of them, but of their new family addition. They rescued Pandora while on holiday in Greece. She was abandoned and hungry and took a shining to Ryan and just wouldn’t leave his side. Immediately Ryan called home and explained he just had to bring her home and give her the loving home she deserved. This amazing act of humanity and kindness tells you a lot about the loving and kindness Megan and Ryan have in their hearts. Their wedding day was nothing short of heart warming. The love they have for each other is unmatched and unmistakable.
This wedding ceremony will for ever stand out in memory. Every single person stood up and sang their hearts out in celebration, you really had to be there to feel the energy in the room. Fast forward to The Barn at Ogmore By Sea in their cool camper vans and we were greeted by the strongest wind I’ve ever had to stand up in. In turn this meant that marquee was blowing a gale, a few things fell over and was a little noisy. Did it dampen their spirits, did it eck. I have to admit, we were a little worried about the portraits but they pulled up their socks and dress and we stormed up to the secret garden for some stunning first portraits together, and even braved it on-top of the cliffs for a must have shot.
The evening concluded for us with some proper funky dancing, while the bridesmaids adorned their smiles faces with cut-outs of Ryan. Absolutely brilliant!
