Do you remember when that crazy snow storm hit us back in March 2018? The beast from the east! Well, Sarah and Jason celebrated their wedding day right in the middle of it, although you’d never know it was even in the middle of a snow storm as somehow, Swansea completely got missed. The crazy thing is, we weren’t originally booked for their big day. Amongst the madness, their photographer called the day before to explain that he was caught up in the bad weather and wasn’t able to make the drive. We met Sarah and Jason a whole 12 hours before the bridal prep to come to their rescue when they put the shout out for a Swansea wedding photographer to cover their special day, and we instantly clicked.
If you’ve ever been to St Benedicts, Clydach, youll know that the vicar is an absolute hoot, a total gent and a joy to “work” alongside. Sometimes having a laid back and cheery vicar can help just that little bit to calm those pre-ceremony nerves.
Straight after the I do’s it was straighten down to kick the celebrations off at Manor Park Country House just down the road. Even though we live just around the corner, it was actually our first time photographing a wedding here. Being wedding photographers just outside of Swansea has its advantages when it comes to the journey home, and getting to those early starts at local venues, so in a snow storm, it was definitely most welcomed.
The whole day went without a hitch from beginning to end and was an absolute pleasure to be a part of. We bagged one of our favourite rain shots at the end of the evening which was the icing on there cake. Here is a selection of images to tell their wedding story, i hope you enjoy. If you are searching for your own Swansea wedding photographer duo, we would love to hear from you and all about your big day plans.
Enjoy!
